Community Resources

Redeemer Health is a Catholic health system rooted in the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer. Its mission is to care, comfort, and heal, and it has grown into many programs and facilities. This page gathers a few resources that may help your family.

Community Health Needs Assessment

The Community Health Needs Assessment is a study of the health status and needs of people living in the communities Holy Redeemer Hospital serves. The report puts local health information in one place. It can tell you what concerns your neighbors face and where services may be thin. If you want to understand the area your family lives in, this is the document to read.

Reilly Home

Families caring for a loved one with an intellectual disability face new questions as that person becomes an adult. Parents and relatives may struggle to keep up care over time. Redeemer Health's Reilly Home for Independent Adults offers a safe and secure "forever" home for those adults. Ask Redeemer Health about eligibility and how the home works.

Redeemer Village: HUD-Subsidized Senior Apartments

Redeemer Village offers 199 renovated apartments for seniors 62 and older. Applicants must meet strict HUD income limits. through the link provided.

Domestic Violence Resources

Domestic violence affects one in every four women. Abuse can take many forms: physical, emotional, sexual, and economic. Anyone can call for help.

Pennsylvania Safe Haven Law

Pennsylvania's Safe Haven law gives parents a safe, legal alternative to abandoning a baby. Parents can bring a newborn up to 28 days old to any Pennsylvania hospital, a police officer at a police station, or an emergency services provider at an EMS station, without fear of criminal prosecution, as long as the baby has not been harmed. Safe Haven Hotline: 1-866-921-SAFE (7233).

What this looks like in practice

You will not usually see a parent resource page in the classroom itself. It sits behind the scenes. It is a place to look when something at home changes. Read it on a quiet evening, not while a child is pulling at your sleeve.

Information like this helps a parent act before a small worry grows. Knowing who to call for a health concern, a housing question, or a family crisis means less time searching and more time with your child. That calm is what your child notices at home.
