Active Adult Living

More Freedom to Enjoy an Indepenent Lifestyle

Cedar Views is a 62+ active adult community. Apartments have open floor plans you can arrange to suit your style. Residents share a Club House with an indoor heated pool, a fitness center, an arts and crafts room, and a game room. The community plans activities throughout the week, so there is usually something to join.

Leave the Chores to Us

Maintenance is handled for you, so the hours you would spend on chores stay yours. On snow days, someone else clears the walks while you use the indoor pool. Ask the director which tasks are covered and how requests are submitted; the center can confirm the specifics of its own building and grounds.

Find Your Fit

Apartments range from a cozy one-bedroom to a two-bed, two-bath residence. Kitchens come fully equipped, with high quality fixtures and wood cabinetry. Open floor plans and full bay windows keep the living space light-filled. You bring your own furniture and make the rooms yours.

Parkland Views, City Access

Cedar Views sits within The Villages at Pine Valley, in the Fox Chase section of Northeast Philadelphia. Downtown is 30 to 40 minutes north. Restaurants, golf courses, shopping, and entertainment are close, and several hospitals are nearby. Pennypack Park surrounds the community, with miles of trails for walking, biking, or horseback riding.

Recognized for Excellence

Cedar Views won a 2021 Choice Community Award. Recipients were measured against a national benchmark of more than 252,000 resident and employee surveys. Those surveys asked about treating residents with respect, fostering social connections, inspiring a sense of purpose, and providing access to health and wellness resources. Of 1,000 communities considered, 21 were named winners.

What Residents Say

Residents describe thoughtful, nice neighbors and repairs attended to quickly. One writes that the activities, movies, and entertainment are really enjoyable, and that the exercise room and pool are appreciated. Another calls the staff professional and supportive, making exceptional efforts toward a safe, clean, and pleasant community. You can read their words in full and decide for yourself.

What this looks like in practice

Days here follow the children, not a bell. Toddlers move between free play, snacks, and rest on a gentle rhythm. Preschoolers spend long stretches in open-ended play, building, and outdoor time. Parents can expect to see their child's day noted and shared. Ask the director for the exact schedule for your child's room.

For a parent, the practical benefit is smaller chores and steadier routines. When maintenance is someone else's job, visits are spent together rather than on repairs. A pool, a fitness room, and a crafts room mean there is somewhere to go, whatever the weather. The neighborhood itself offers trails and parkland, so time outside does not require a drive. Families can ask the center about hours, availability, and pricing.
